The tale of a slave from Olympia

The Olympia Pioneer and Democrat carried this advertisement for the Eliza Anderson in every issue for many years. This particular ad ran on Sept. 28, 1860, two days after Charles Mitchell was freed by the Supreme Court of Civil Justice in the Crown Colony of Victoria.
