Snowboarding craze fades as skiing becomes cool again

Skiers and snowboarders cue up in a long line at the Green Valley lift at Crystal Mountain. Snowboarding — the once-hip, ultra-extreme sport for rebels — may have lost its lure when Mom and Dad began snowboarding a few years ago. Sales of snowboards and snowboard equipment have slipped while sales of skis have climbed.
