Three Washington colleges lead nation in Peace Corps volunteers

Western Washington University graduate Samantha Russell, right, joins in performing a traditional meke dance for visitors in October in the Fiji village where she’s serving in the Peace Corps. Russell, with a background in marine biology, is working with villagers to prevent overfishing and environmental damage to South Pacific coral reefs.
