NYC challenges architects to design comfort in 250-square-foot apartment

Wardrobes hidden in closets, a foldaway table and under-the-counter appliances at the museum exhibit all help to make the apartment seem roomy. The exhibit grew out of the city's PlaNYC, which projected the city's population will grow by about 600,000 people by 2030.
