Tamashiro Market gets most of its open-ocean fish from the Honolulu Fish Auction — the only fish auction between Tokyo and Maine. Visitors who want to watch the auction must be prepared to walk through cold standing water and stay out of the way of buyers and workers unloading and loading fish and ice.
