With a "dummy tummy," Manuel de Gongora gets a lesson in how to do peritoneal dialysis (PD) at Northwest Kidney Center. It's a self-dialysis process using the peritoneum in the abdomen across which fluids and dissolved substances are exchanged from the blood. The dialysis takes place overnight while the patient is asleep.
