Washington college instructors are 'flipping' the way they teach

Dr. Scott Freeman is one of a new wave of University of Washington lecturers who's trying to do novel things with technology in the college classroom. He requires students to do online reading quizzes before class, then creates an interactive classroom experience by calling on students and using Powerpoint presentations, clickers and in-class conversations.
