Sea changes harming ocean now could someday undermine marine food chain

Russ Hopcroft, UAF/NOAA : These tiny shelled snail-like creatures, called pteropods, are crucial to the survival of many fish species. One type of pteropod makes up more than 50 percent of the diet of pink salmon.
