Gurmit Dha and his wife, Iqbal, brought their three children from India to the U.S. in 1980 in search of a better life. After working in blue-collar jobs for most of their lives, the couple opened Punjab Sweets in 2001. Profits are razor-thin in the restaurant biz, and the family finds itself working constantly to keep their dream alive.
