Record rainfall in season's first big storm

Becky Peterson, a Northgate resident, checks on her basement. While she's lived in the neighborhood for 20 years, she said this was the first time she'd seen flooding in the branch of Thornton Creek that runs beside her house on Northeast 117th Street.
