Dabob Bay, viewed from the north, with the exposed tidelands of Tarboo Bay in the foreground, stretches into Hood Canal, its waters more than 600 feet deep in the center. Its quiet isolation is preferred by oyster growers and the Navy, which uses it as an underwater testing site.
