Used mobile home turns into fire-district fiasco

Fire Commissioner Dave Hannity abstained when colleagues approved the $85,000 purchase of a used mobile home belonging to Hannity's wife. State auditors found the district broke the law by failing to call for bids and by reimbursing Hannity for some $6,000 in costs.
