Vargas, Mariners hand Red Sox seventh consecutive loss, 4-1

The Mariners scored four runs in the 4th inning, starting with Franklin Gutierrez who beat out an infield hit to get on base and then scored on a single by John Jaso. Seattle handed Boston its seventh straight loss, beating the Red Sox 4-1.
