Alto saxophonist Art Pepper is back on a new red-vinyl disc (with digital download) of his 1981 appearance at the old Seattle jazz club Parnell's. Here Pepper, who died in 1982, climbs a Los Angeles hill as a symbol of his uphill struggle with drug addiction — and his career.
