What a big bunch of garbage: but Roosevelt Landfill turns it into power

Roosevelt's trash is compacted in layers up to 15 stories deep, but only a tiny fraction of it is ever exposed to open air at any given time. Trash deliveries go up and down with the economy. But at current rates, Roosevelt should be able to accept garbage for as long as 100 years.
