Nancy Heckler makes new Indianola garden her own

Heckler built raised beds in the sunniest area of the garden. The front bed holds a winter squash and a tall Amicia zygomeris that sports yellow pea-like flowers in late summer. Behind is a storage shed with a little greenhouse for overwintering tender plants.
