Lull, with general manager Paul Schuster, is the only luthier north of San Francisco to have a German-made PLEK fret-leveling machine, a computerized device that makes a more accurate level than human hands could ever do. It has allowed him to produce more "with less wear and tear on my hands," Lull says.
