The sparks fly for Puget Sound innovators

The mosquito-zapping "photonic fence" that greets visitors to IV Lab in Bellevue isn't just a cool toy. The device, which can be programmed to home in on the wing beats of mosquitoes that transmit malaria, could save lives by helping eradicate that disease in developing countries.
