Couple lights up a home in a former cigarette warehouse

McCarthy bought the 10,000-square-foot warehouse in the Mission district for $2.3 million and hired a designer to renovate it. On the left, a long dining/work table stretches through the kitchen in the 1925 concrete building. In the center, a spiral stairway encased in steel rods winds up to a roof garden.
