Nils Finne opens Fall City farmhouse to painterly views

The kitchen includes a 25-foot-long addition, supported by the exposed-steel beam. The ribbon of windows recalls the views of a fire lookout, high and vast. The cabinets, kept low and out of the way, are maple. Jewett, a geologist, is partial to the limestone countertops.
