White River Valley Museum celebrates pets and their humans

In another image in the exhibition, George, an artillery horse at Fort Lawton, poses with Dorothea Richmond in 1926. The caption on this early Seattle Times photograph read: So thoroughly has the snappy Charleston captured the fancy of Seattle that even its horses have taken it up.
