Calling all geeks! Seattle's mad-scientist scene is booming

Ignite draws a crowd of 600 to 800 people, mostly through blogs and word-of-mouth. Organizers like to say if you don't like a presentation, get a beer; by the time you're back, another speaker will be taking the floor.
