As Toni and Candace, owners of the radical feminist bookstore Women and Women First, Brownstein and Armisen play outrageous parodies of political correctness. Their new intern, played by Amber Tamblyn, is a little puzzled by their policies, which turn away more customers than they attract. When a woman writes bright, loving thoughts in the store's "journaling" workshop, they scold her. "What a journal should be is a document of misery," says Toni.
