Architect David Hall's little studio is flexible ready

STUDIOEDISON, built for $106,000, is a 448-square-foot studio/guesthouse in the Samish River flood plain. The sliding-glass doors, from Quantum Windows and Doors, open to the south out to backyard gardens and pastoral views. It sits on salvaged cedar posts and a minimal concrete foundation. The underside is open to potential floodwater.
