9/11: Promises made, forgotten

People run from the collapse of one of the World Trade Center towers. Many Americans expected another major terrorist attack in the U.S. in the weeks after 9/11. Instead, the past decade has seen a slow drip of smaller plots, most of them only vaguely remembered.
