Alice Woldt, then-executive director of the Church Council of Greater Seattle, said before 9/11, the Seattle Muslim community was pretty isolated. Afterward, her group and the Muslims began reaching out more to each other -- and Woldt met a great friend, Hisham Farajallah, right, the mosque's operations director.
