Seattle grows basketball stars

Holmes is a gifted athlete who excelled at Franklin High School and on elite AAU teams with Rotary Style, but poor grades cost him a scholarship offer from Eastern Washington University. He has spent the past two years at Tacoma Community College working on his studies and cleaning the weight room to help cover tuition. This fall he will play at Central Washington University as a junior, where he intends to finish his degree in engineering.
