Children grab candy underneath a 26-foot-long, 7-foot-tall piñata, a model of the new South Park Bridge. Alex Lopez designed the piñata in three weeks and built it with the help of South Park volunteers and King County Roads employees. The piñata was created for a dual celebration of the groundbreaking for construction on the new bridge and Cinco de Mayo.
