Reclaiming the Duwamish River

Osprey have been invited back to the river by humans who have built nesting platforms like this one, where an osprey hatched a few weeks earlier awaits a meal of bottom fish caught by a parent. Though the river's worst pollutants are found in toxic sediments where bottom fish live and spread up the food chain, studies indicate that the amount of pollutants in fish is declining.
