In Langley, Wash., togetherness comes one citizen at a time

Sarah Diers, owner of Wander on Whidbey, and dog, Lucy, capture the attention of Helen Nobile, in the blue hat, and Diane Rayner on Langley's First Street. Determined to stay in Langley when she lost her teaching job, Diers opened a business selling outdoor and marine gear. Like many locals, Diers is devoted to the town and its community spirit.
