Seattle's Yesler Terrace faces the future

Tim Austin, left, and his girlfriend, Julie Madrid, walk their dog in a park at Yesler Terrace. Austin lived with his father for 11 years at an apartment about 100 feet away from the park, which has panoramic views of the city. His father still lives there, and Austin now visits him almost every day.
