Seattle's Yesler Terrace faces the future

Many businesses and houses, including this one, were torn down on "Profanity Hill" to make way for Yesler Terrace. Walking up Yesler Way, men often heard the tap-tap of solicitous prostitutes rapping their rings against window panes.
