Seattle's parks in peril: the choices are to shrink, skimp or pay up

To deal with its budget crunch, King County has used a multipronged approach at Marymoor Park. It has leased land to Cirque du Soleil, sold naming rights to the park's velodrome and relied on volunteers to help maintain the off-leash dog area.
