A Seattle 1940s box is reborn for the 21st century

The small, dark kitchen was bumped out into the back garden, opened to the dining room, and brightened with new windows and an oversized Dutch door. Developer Linda Pruitt calls the kitchen's wall color (Sherwin Williams' "Ambitious Amber") "a road-tested color . . . People respond to its warmth."
