Columbia Gorge's Washington shore offers sun, scenery, good wine and open road

Windsurfer Stefan Fürst prepares to launch near the Stevenson boat dock. Originally from Austria, he now lives in Vancouver, Wash. When the wind picks up, windsurfers come out from both sides of the Columbia River, as well as tourists who watch from shore.
