The tale of Boeing's high-risk flight into the jet age

One of the classic magazine ads Boeing created to tout the virtues of jet travel featured a photo illustration that included a coin, a watch and a flower. The coin stands on edge, connoting the vibration-free nature of jet flight. The watch suggests the speed of jets, and the flower, of course, will still be fresh on arrival.
