More schools trying to serve Washington-grown food — but it isn't easy

Sixth-graders at Cascade Middle School in Auburn help themselves to offerings that include locally grown potatoes, roasted veggies and cucumbers. The district serves produce from local farms and a school garden, steps that mean extra work for staffers.
