Hundreds of adult homes conceal abuse, neglect

Page Ulrey, senior deputy prosecutor who focuses on elder abuse, appears at a July sentencing of an abuser convicted of second-degree manslaughter in the death of his mother. In a first in Washington history, Ulrey brought charges against an adult-home owner for failure to report neglect — and obtained a guilty plea.
