A flood of asbestos: How much should residents worry?

The EPA's Sandra Brozusky, in a protective suit with air monitors attached, rakes soil in an effort to record the level of asbestos. Workers who handle material containing 1 percent asbestos are usually required to wear masks — and measurements as high as 27 percent have been taken in some yards along the Sumas River.
