State braces for West Nile outbreak

Some northern house mosquitoes as seen through a microscope eyepiece on Wednesday. This type of mosquito is a carrier of the West Nile virus. Mosquitoes carrying the virus have been found in Eastern Washington this year but not Western Washington, yet.
