Spare time? Feed the hungry, reap personal rewards

The Lockhart family (Rachel, center; her mom, Susan; and dad, Jim) volunteers three hours once a month packing food at Food Lifeline. Rachel started volunteering at the Shoreline-based nonprofit for a Girl Scout community-service project, then her parents joined her. It has been a family project for 3-1/2 years.
