Whidbey Island home captures timeless quality

The living room's glass sliders open to the beach on one side and to the courtyard on the other. The blackened-steel fireplace is by Jim Cussen of Irish Welding; Whidbey artist Inge Roberts made the hanging puppet and the porcelain pieces above the fireplace.
