Bellevue considers light rail through treasured wetland

Ducks swim in the channel through Mercer Slough Nature Park in Bellevue, where a host of plant and animal species can be seen along the slow-moving, 2.6-mile-long slough. Environmentalists have doubts that permits would be approved for a light-rail line across the wetland.
