Ground tests for the Dreamliner will soon give way to flight tests. The tightly choreographed, round-the-clock testing operation will cost tens of millions of dollars and last about nine months. It'll draw on the skills of a team of pilots, along with a minimum of about 600 engineers and 400 mechanics.
