Dreamliner makes history with plastic, outsourcing, design — and delays

Radical outsourcing: The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner's wings and a section of the fuselage are made in Nagoya, Japan. This ovenlike autoclave at Kawasaki Heavy Industries is one of the world's largest and is used to cure the midfuselage section.
