At The Benches, sheep perform weed control in a 145-acre block of riesling grapes that are certified biodynamic. A biodynamic vineyard attempts to be self-contained and eco-conscious by avoiding things like synthetic fertilizers and by using the farm's own materials (soil, compost and such) to sustain itself.
