Native bees play bigger role as honeybees decline

A bumblebee — one of the region's native pollinators — lands on a thistle near the trail to Cascade Pass in North Cascades National Park. As European honeybees continue to decline, native pollinators are gaining appreciation from the agriculture industry and backyard gardeners.
