Hard times for tourist towns means good deals for travelers

Retired postal worker Chuck Blevins flies two ultralight kites at Long Beach, where kite-flying on its 20 miles of windy ocean beaches is among the tourist lures. This year rental owners are making deals, with some offering half off a third night or rolling back to winter rates.
