Canada's oil-sands boom creates vast riches and a dirty footprint

A marshland grows in a reclaimed tailings area for an oil-sands project run by Syncrude. Once a boreal forest, the area was dug up for mining, then replanted. Syncrude environmental manager Steve Gaudet said reclamation is "serious for us." Environmental groups complain it's too slow.
