Real food makes a comeback: You may now kiss your local farmer
Bob Hart of La Conner Flats Farm shows culinary-arts students from Seattle Central Community College how to line up lettuce plantings. The students make regular trips to the Skagit Valley for a work-study project at several farms. The vegetables they harvest are used in the school's kitchen and served to students several days a week through the summer. The students are Hannah Crabtree, left, Martin Foster, Tara Cagle and Ewing Jaing.
